The Design Engineering (D&E) Division believes that the opportunity to influence the success of a project diminishes with time. Thus the earlier the entry into a field development process the greater opportunity we have of offering innovative solutions. The D&E division, through its affiliated companies, can evaluate various technical options, followed by the execution of detailed engineering.

Our Project Teams need to be extremely mobile to enable them to manage the project where the work is, rather than from a remote design or operator’s office. Good communication and electronic transmission of data are essential tools to ensure that all the activities are conducted cost-effectively.
Engineering Involvement
The D&E division through its affiliated engineering companies offer complete engineering design in all disciplines including Structural, Piping, Civil, Process, Mechanical, Rotating, Equipment, Electrical and Instrumentation.
Contract
D&E division strives to form a close working relationship with its clients, whatever the contractual basis for a particular job. Mutual understanding and agreed goals are the best basis for a successful contract, as are the use of incentive schemes rather than onerous penalties to prevent overruns.
Work Scope
Change to the original work scope has been a cause of increased cost. The Engineering and Fabrication division has learned through experience that a well-defined work scope is required to ensure that each party avoids un-necessary liabilities.
Time/Schedule
The schedule is generally the greatest challenge for any project. Therefore, the E&P division advocates in-depth discussions regarding key project dates with each client prior to contract award. In addition, a subsequent joint ownership of the schedule is encouraged, to meet the defined objectives.
Cost/Budget
D&E firmly believes in shared ownership of the budget. The budget should be based on a well defined estimate, followed by agreed targets and goals, thus enabling the project team to achieve their goals. |
